Later, Risk Management Company purchased from the same German supplier other high-performance laser cutting machines, state-of-the-art, with the technical ability to cut sheet metal up to a maximum format of 2000x4000mm for a variety of materials such as: CARBON STEEL up to to #25mm, ALUMINUM up to #25mm, STAINLESS STEEL up to #25mm, BRASS up to #10mm and COPPER up to #10mm.
Sheet metal cutting is a modern technological process that helps technological designers a lot when creating the execution phases of a piece, because in this way they can give up many classic and time-consuming operations in favor of laser technology. For example, from case to case, depending on the product requirements, laser cutting technology replaces mechanical processing operations such as milling, turning, drilling, etc. in terms of cost and time efficiency. Cutting on sheet metal is an operation that allows quickly obtaining some complex contours, but to achieve this, one of the conditions required in the design phase is the composition of the contour from simple elements such as lines and arcs of a circle, which necessarily must form a whole, i.e. a closed contour. The drawings that are processed in order to obtain the cutting plan and the laser cutting program on sheets are drawings with the extension .dwg or .dxf.
An advantage of sheet metal laser cutting technology is the accuracy obtained of +/- 0.2 mm, as well as the fact that the edges of the cut material remain clean. In addition, the holes obtained by laser cutting have straight walls, not frustoconical as is obtained in the case of processing with other types of technology, and the angles are obtained at the correct height in accordance with the design requirement.
Pipe cutting is also a very complex operation, but very fast and efficient from the point of view of technological achievements.
